I believe that Jon McNaught is a master of his trade due to his high level of skill aswell as his marketing. He works mainly with print work, such as screen printing, and lithography. All of the images above are of Jon's personal work, he produces work constantly, and has accumulated a large body of work. His work is unique and beautiful due to the simplicity of his work, he only uses two colours per piece, occasionally using more than two, but still remaining very limited.
Jon McNaught has worked with the BBC, Art Review Magazine, and Nobrow creating comic strips. He has published 3 books with Nobrow; Dockwood, Pebble Island, and Birchfield Close. All of his comics feature minimal text and many images of one event, they highlight the beauty of a simple life and are very relaxed in their story telling.
Jon McNaught creates alot of cover work for various publications such as Nobrow Magazine, New York Times, Clerkenwell Post, and London Review of Books. He has also illustrated various book covers.
I think that the reason that Jon McNaught is so successful, is due to the variation of his work, he creates alot of personal work, aswell as commissions and I think that his exposure with Nobrow has severely boosted his work intake.
